Sniper Elite – Elite to Compete…

User Rating: 8.3 | Sniper Elite PS2
Sniper Elite for the Playstation 2 was a title I has highly looking forward too!

Recently released on PS2 and XBOX on October 18 2005.

Unfortunately, I must add that I was disappointed in some very “key” features that such a title and game should without a doubt have. Namely, there is no “voice” or headset function with the game for online play. Rather, what is permitted (an poorly so) is a “chat” that can be accessed using the PS2 controller.

This can take a great length of time depending on your speed and need to chat with other gamers.

Otherwise the game play in Sniper Elite for “online” use is very good and fun.

Sad to note that there could have been better places to hide and the addition of ladders to climb buildings should have been made use of.

Respawing can be very upsetting as well. For example: Let us suppose you kill your opponent “online” can are close or in the same vicinity of the kill that you made. Your opponent “respawns” very quickly (no problem with that) but almost near you – giving him to make his kill upon you.

This can be frustrating. The game does have some nice graphics…the controls are nice.

But most of all the game is very fun.

Stealth is where it is at.

The single campaign is fun and you can also pay along with a buddy of yours. The problem with this is that you have to stay within reason of his distance – you cannot wander off too far. Otherwise the game will tell you that you must stay close to you ally.

Sniper Elite is worth it but sadly there is an “elite” element missing – voice ability and the game could have provided more buildings to access and landscapes which not even binoculars – within in reason could view.

Say if there were areas that were well bushed or trees galore.

I bought the game. Love many things about it. Hope that “Rebellion” will not rebel and make a better version soon to come.

Yours,

Warrior
