With some patience and a steady hand, Sniper Elite is a worthwhile experience

Okay, after about three months of debating whether I should purchase this or not, I finally gave in, and bought Sniper Elite. After seeing the opening cutscene, which is a tuitorial of sorts, I was hooked. Namco and Rebellion really pulled off a game based on the art of being a sniper, with outstanding results. The game has every trick snipers use in real world situations in this game. You have to take into account the wind speed and direction, heart rate, and even the gravity acting on the bullet itself. You even have tricks that you could use, like my personal favorite: shooting an enemy in the leg and letting him drop to the ground yelling in pain. Soon, a nearby solider is bound to hear the commotion, and run to his commrade. As soon as you see the other enemy, you can shoot him as a trap. (kinda reminds you of a scene from metal gear solid, doesn't it)
Gameplay hooks aside, the graphics are actually pretty decent. The sun glares into your scope, making the shot less precise, rain acutally leaves raindrops and puddles on the ground and when you shoot an enemy in the head, only to see the bullet travel into his skull, with gruesome results, you have a product of high production values. Yes, this game is bloody.
Finally, what is left? The sound. The only thing that can be said is that it will blow you away (no pun intended) From boms bursting, to planes crashing, to the sound of the bullet leaving your barrel, everything is perfect. Except the voice acting can be a bit spotty, but that is the only problem with the whole experience. But you aren't here to listen to people talk, you're here to play the role of an elite sniper, and this game delivers in spades.
