I usually don't like sniper games, mainly because it usually involves a lot of stealth. I don't like sneaking around, I'd rather run & gun my way through a game. If you play this game on the easiest setting, you can run & gun a lot of the time without getting killed too often. I've played Sniper Elite V2 and the Nazi Zombie Army games (1&2), which are all fun (though the Nazi Zombie games are PC-only, unfortunately).
One nice thing in Sniper Elite 3 is the ability to save at any time. The game does auto-save when you complete an objective or other milestones, but it's nice to save right away after a big firefight.
