Smuggler's Run 2 offers a unique gameplay, but it felt like there was a lot missing.

User Rating: 8.4 | Smuggler's Run 2: Hostile Territory PS2
I got this game because I thought it was something like Twisted Metal. It actually wasn't what I thought, but it was actually a pretty fun game. What I was impressed with was the size of the levels. They are so big, and it is fun to just drive around in the multiplayer mode and just off of mountains. The story mode was pretty good too. Some of the missions seemed easy at first, but they got way harder, and it was fun to play them. The mini games were also a nice addition. I liked that one where you pass the bomb to other players to make them explode.

GAMEPLAY: Overall, the gameplay is fun, and there is a lot of exploring to be done in multiplayer. It is fun to drive the wide selection of vehicles. Even though it wasn't like Twisted Metal, it was still fun.

GRAPHICS: They were actually pretty good considering the size of the levels. The cars looked pretty good, and the cutscenes were also good.

SOUND: This game doesn't have much of a soundtrack, but the car sounds are ok. There isn't much sound to base this off of in the game.

I had a lot of fun with Smuggler's Run 2. I had never seen anything like it, even though there was obviously a prequel. The huge levels are really cool too. This game is pretty cheap, and it is worth buying.
