Fun at first but light on content, acheing for DLC.
Gameplay:- I was severely dissapointed with the lack of content. In all there are 12 events (From what I can remember) set on a Mediterranean island and each event is set on a certain part of the island. And after finishing the last event I said to myself "What? That's it?", as I was atleast expecting a new venue on the mysterious venue bar. I went on to get every gold medal and 90% of the XMB trophies just to make my review have more...evidence?
Sound:- Although the upbeat, super-speed, action music seems nice at first, it gets a little repetetive as the same 3 or 4 tracks keep repeating which can get irrating after a few hours of gameplay.
Graphics:- The graphics were my favourite part of the game. Not the actual quality of them (Just above average) but how smoothly they ran and how the only slowdown was when you smash head on into a wall ;P
Controls:- Another major problem in my opinion. The controls never do what you want them to. Sometimes your RC car will slide into the opposite side of the corner and slow you to a halt yet if you adjust the the steering just a little more you'll turn too hard and hit the apex of the corner. Takes a lot of practice to master.
Online:- One word. Dead. As are alot of games that are overpriced or underhyped, there arent alot of servers, and with a lack of any official servers it means that you'd be lucky to find maybe one or two games at a time. no major lag issues however provided you get into a game.
Overall:- A game destined for DLC as tons of people have said. Although at £12 the DLC would have to be free for most people to pay more money for a game with dead online, finicky controls and another valid reason.
