Sly Cooper and the gang are back in the game with new features, enemies and new heists.

User Rating: 8 | Sly 2: Band of Thieves PS3

Story
The gang is heading to Cairo to steal the Clockwerk parts to make sure no one tries to resurrect him, but to their surprise they discover that the parts have already been stolen and are met by Inspector Fox and her new partner, Constable Neyla, who say that the ones responsible for stealing the Clockwerk parts is the Klaww Gang.

Gameplay
Sly 2 has a lot more new features than Sly 1, and I think this is what brings the game a fresh appeal as well as shows more innovation towards the story and the game as a whole. I felt that the mission were versatile and not repetitive which could've easily made the game less enjoyable.

Not only has Sly become more fluid in his movements, but he also has the ability to pickpocket enemies for coins and expensive items that he can use in the Thiefnet to purchase upgrades for his attacks. Although what I liked most with the new features of the gameplay were that there was finally a diminishing health bar. No more single hit deaths which was very helpful in situation when trying to from point A to point B.

Enemies/Monsters
The main enemy is the Klaww gang which consists of 6 members. In each town you visit, the goons will roam around in the streets and might cause a lot of trouble in times depending on the type of mission being carried out.

Skills
As I was mentioning before the main place to obtain new skills for all three characters, is through Thiefnet which is located at every safe house in every location they visit. Which a sufficient amount of coins you won't have any problems obtaining all of the powerups available. The secondary way to obtain some addition powerups is by opening the vaults that are located in each place. There is only one in each place so a total of 8 additional attacks can be obtain, but only if you collect all 30 clue bottles in one city in order for Bentley to crack the code to open the vault with.

Overall
Good game, impressive. It I definitely easy to understand where Sly 3 is based on in terms of gameplay. Since Sly 3 was my first encounter with the franchise, naturally I thought that Sly 1 would be similar, but Sly 1 is indeed to different ones amongst the games in the franchise (inluding Thieves in Time) A solid 8/10 seems fair.
