Worst combat system ever

The bottom line is this. The game has many attractive qualities. Good scenery, good characters, plots but the combat is absolutely atrocious. You fight anywhere from 4 to 8 plus guys right out of the gate and any time you attempt to get some sort of combo going or grab a guy to throw them, another enemy is there to break it up. What's worse is you can run an enemy into a wall and they'll get up, but they grab you and give you a couple kicks and half your life bar disappears.

If you can get over the combat situation, then there's a lot here but the horrid combat system is what will keep many gamers flocking away. I don't normally expect Square Enix to release something like this, and it's a shame that it comes up so utterly broken. This looks to be a great mix of Grand Theft Auto meets Yakuza. The problem is this is a poor execution on that formula. Yakuza stands out for it's great oriental back drop, some open world, good characters and much more. GTA stands all for all those things but also gun blazing battles, car chases and more.

And yes Sleeping Dogs does have all of those things. It's just a shame that they fall a little flat when compared to Yakuza and GTA. What came out as a promising game is going back to Gamestop and that money put forth to something else.
