can be fun but limited and short.

User Rating: 6 | Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure 3DS
The Skylanders for the 3DS is a completely different game than the console version. You do use the same figures and your level and hat they are wearing can be saved and transferred over to the console version. If you are a collector, the biggest reason to buy the game would be just to have dark Spyro. I also believe the price for the 3DS version is too high and not worth it. Now I'll explain what I like and dislike about Skylanders for the 3DS.

The Good:
The biggest plus for me was this was actually one of the better platformers I played in awhile. The design of the platforms keeps you on your toes, especially when they start to crumble or even fade away. The challenges are quite...challenging! Some are easy and some you have to be quick with your movements and racing time to finish. There are many scrolls of power to unlock for every figure you can purchase and tons of silly hats to unlock.

The Bad:
For starters, its short and can be completed within 4 hours. You can't complete every challenge without owning a skylander of every element. All the upgrades you learn in the 3DS version do not carry over to the console game only the level and whatever hat your wearing. The game is not worth the price. Replay value is very low with the only reason to go back and play would be if you wanted to finish the challenges you can only do after purchasing more skylander figures.

To summarize, it is an easy but somewhat challenging platformer with extra challenges to complete. The game is limited and short and not worth the price. Only reason to buy it would be if you want to have dark Spyro. If you know someone who already purchased the game I recommend playing theirs.
