This is still one of the best RPG games ever made.

It's about 10 years since I was playing this game on the Dreamcast but in all that time I still regard Skies Of Arcadia as one of the best RPGs ever made. Progression through the story gradually granted access to the various areas located on the world map in such a well thought out way that the game never became tedious or boring. In fact, throughout the game, the progression of the characters abilities and the storyline always seemed to be just right. Keeping the player hooked and always wanting to play that next bit. The addition of a mini-game which could be played on the Dreamcasts memory cards was genius. The mini-game gave players a chance to find items and earn extra gold when away from their console. I remember playing every day on my journey to work and back so that on my return home my characters could make use of the additional items. This was a great game in every way. The characters were likeable, gameplay was perfect, and the story was good. It was a joy to play and it's a title I'd love to see remade using current hardware.
