Who said that driving ski-doo was fun?
As soon as you beat a race, you unlock new tracks and new sleds. You can, with the money you acquired from your victory, buy upgrade for your sled. Each upgrade, whatever the sled is, consist of an increase of 1 point in the selected category (Speed, acc, grip...). Every new sleds is free, and are unlocked only after completing a task (Finish first in xxx). Upgrade cost always the same, and always have the same effect. Each new sled acquired normally increase the previous sled by one point in certain category. Since you switch to a new sled almost every course, money is spend for one race or two and then, you need to spend money again. Really straightforward. Only a trophy to get 50K without spending motivate the way you use your money.
Driving is hard. There's no real fun about managing the curve and racing against opponents. The tracks are usually good, potentially fun to manage. The stability of the sleds and it's control are a bit too much hazardous to be enjoyable. Especially in cornering, you can't guarantee the reaction of your sled, neither the reaction of your opponents. The tracks are narrow, increasing the difficulty to maintain your stability. Add opponents AI that once in while, get you out of the road just for fun let's say, and you are easily falling behind this 8 opp. event. Any mistake cost a lot, and getting back in front is hard. You recover quite fast the gap create, but as soon as you reach the top position, AI seems to find the right speed to hold you back there.
The only enjoying part is to try to unlock trophies, but, in order to get them, you need to go through multiple frustrations. Any race isn't easy and you'll end up restarting the race again and again.
So you lose your time fighting with the controller, mix with AI simply not set right in a boring landscape.
Platinum trophy isn't available because they're no game online. Don't expect player to join your game.
So, leave your ski-doo behind and run fast, it won't miss you and you neither.
