"Great simulation game for the SNES"

User Rating: 8 | SimCity SNES

There is not much or little to say about this game, not because it's bad and all but because it's fun and it passes the time away.

First off, you get to pick the town name and select your map...now hold on...why do we get to choose between 0-999 maps, that is about a thousand choices and I will not go through all of them to find the "best" place, I just pick a random number and that will be the place I would build on.

As it states above, naming the city

Spoiler! (Kinda)

Now depending on what level of difficulty you choose depends on how much money you get. Personally I always go for easy, why? well I get more money of course. You might think wow, that's lame but in this game it is worth it because you lose money..fast, either right away or in the future sometime, it is guaranteed that you will run out of money.

The controls are very simple. You can move around freely, see how far up the building is in level, check taxes, create disasters, and so on. The is so much things you can do with the buttons that it would take a bit to describe them (sorry).

The game starts from 1900, which is odd but it is the time after the Industrial Revolution takes place, not only is that odd but for some reason we went into the future about 50 years and managed to get nuclear power plants and airports and other things (I know it's just a game)

Gameplay is pretty simple. You build your city up from the ground level and see how far or how long you can last (most for me is about 30 years...ironic..?)

I got to the 1930's then lost all my money. Is this a bad sign for me?

One thing that always bugged me is..the simcity guy who always manages to show up anytime

I don't even know what to call him...I call him SimCity Guy. Why can't you give me good news instead of the towns demanding needs?

I know he wants to help me but if it's not about what I'm doing right, it is ALWAYS about something wrong...like crime, pollution, natural disasters, and so on. How many times are you going to bug me?

Overall, this game is a classic for the SNES. It is fun and simple and anyone can enjoy this game. This is a great game to own for the SNES if anyone one still owns it or to get it by virtual game for the Wii or an emulator.
