A great arcade game, on your GBA!

User Rating: 7.5 | Silent Scope GBA
This review will be about as long as the learning curve is on this game. That's pretty darn quick cause this game doesn't take much to play. If you have been to the arcade the last couple of years, you might have seen Silent Scope. It's the game with the huge rifle with the scope? Anyways. In this game you are a highly skilled sniper. You are put in your spot to shoot, and you use your rifle to take out any enemies you see. The great thing about this game was when you looked at the screen things looked far away, but the rifle actually had a scope that was zoomed in, and you could take out your enemies with deadly accuracy. The GBA doesn't take away this formula at all. It seems like the only thing missing is a mini rifle to point at your screen. When you start playing the GBA version, you have a few diffrent options, like difficulty, and even a target practice mode. Getting into the game, you will see the city, and your targets down on the street. The only problem that the GBA has with this game is, looking at things far away, it's extremely hard to see any of your targets. Once you do start to figure out what your targets are, you are able to hold a button down and it puts a scope view up that you can move around the screen and get a great headshot. The only problems I really see with the graphics with this game are how small the enemies are, and the lack of movement they have. Sometimes you will think you are shooting at a cardboard cutout. Fortuantly even with the flaws this game is very fun to play. The sounds are not very memorable or prominate. Even gunfire seems muted and just a little off. Don't get me wrong, this game, if you love Silent Scope is a great game to get. If you have never played Silent Scope, play it at the arcade, cause you might enjoy it a little more there if you are looking for a true expierience.
