Holy crap. If this isn't the most twisted and weirdest horror games I've ever played in my entire life, then I don't know what is.

You are Harry Mason, (I think that's how it's spelled) a man on vacation with his daughter. The game opens with Harry driving to the town, when he gets into a car accident. He wakes up, realizing his daughter is missing, and the only obvious place that she could've gone to is the neighbouring town of Silent Hill; and then, the nightmare begins...

Oh man, monsters with twisted faces, a confusing elaborate storyline, and multipile different endings, Konami REALLY went deep into this game.

The game play is pretty basic: a "pick up an item, and use it" kind of game, however, this isn't all about hitting baddies with a weapon. The game features difficult puzzles and grizzly clues that leave to wonder, "What the hell happened to this town?" The town itself is a major mind-screw: the story is just too deep, yet interesting enough to keep you playing.

The horror concept of this game sticks out BOLDLY. Ghosts, demons, monsters, bugs, flying creatures, blood writing on the walls, disturbing sounds and images, uneasy environments that will make you wet your pants: you name it, Silent Hill has it.

The story line of the game is just too confusing to talk about, you have to actually play the game to make sense of it, and because there are multiple endings, it would be confusing to explain it.

The enemies in the game aren't the smartest, but are intimidating and strong enough to make it challenging to kill them. You find weapons through out the game such as a shotgun, a pistol, a bat, etc...So no matter what you have in your inventory, it'll kill whatever the hell you're facing.

There are boss battles in the game that make it somewhat challenging, but all you really do is just jam on the "attack button" and pray that you don't run out of health.

Regardless of the controls or AI, this is truly a masterpiece of a psychological horror that will truly entertain you to the final battle...And remind you that even silence is a sound.
