Despite the rating and criticism of gamespots review of SH Origins, I think that the dated gameplay of origins makes this game what it is. I am a HUGE fan of the first SH along with all the others in the series, but if you ask me SH1 still gives me more chills than any other game in the series, the surroundings just give an overall creepyness and the dated graphics of Origins brings back that feeling I had in the first game, once I picked it up I immedietly felt like I was playing the original. I know alot of gamers don't like the feel of it and wish it was upgraded and had a new taste, but I particularly love the feel, love the engine, and the graphics, story is pretty intense.. I'm sure any hardcore SH fan that's been there from the very beginning knows what I'm talking about...I think that's what ruined the RE series (which I am the biggest fan in the world) they changed the whole feel of the game, it dosn't even feel like RE anymore. Keeping and knowing the roots of a game is key.. change is good, I just wish game developers would keep their roots. overall I give SH Origins a 9.5 out of 10.
