I did not purchase this game because of all the mixed reviews and the hefty 60 dollar price tag. Downpour's price recently dropped to 29 dollars so I purchased it and downloaded it. The plot is very good in the game, the puzzles are very interesting too. This is the only game in the last year that could keep my interest. I love this game. The gameplay is not that bad, if you were to look back at silent hill 2 on the ps2... the controls were way worse but the suspense and plot kept you very interested... just like in this game.. I would defiantely buy this especially if you are a bit older of a gamer. If you like games like Heavy Rain, Dreamfall, Alan Wake, Indigo Prophecy then there is a great chance youll like this game but if you like games like Killzone 2 , Gears of War 3 , Crysis
For the younger crowd, you may not love this game because of the gameplay and graphics but if you enjoy plot and sound , this is a great game. I give this game an 8.5(no game gets a 10 for me, except MGS)
