The Great thing about Silent Hill 2 is that it scares you, not just startle.

The worst thing that could be said about SH2 is :

"The problem with Silent Hill 2 is that it's all atmosphere and no real scares."

First of all lets get this straight: It scares the player in the best possible way, with it's truely unique atmosphere. Just the opposite of what new horror games do; They startle, not scare. I play 2 hours of Dead Space, and as soon as I turn my PC off, I feel secure and safe. I play 30 minutes of SH2, and can't feel calm for at least an hour.

I don't deny it, Combat is simply horrible, and the camera is a real problem; But they don't stop me from enjoying the perfect story and amazing atmosphere.

So I say 10 out of 10, not because it's perfect; But, because it's unique and There is no other game as immersive as this, in the survival horror genre.
