A review from a guy who does not like strategy games.

User Rating: 8.5 | Sid Meier's Civilization V PC
This game has converted me. I used to hate strategy games, even as a kid when my parents wanted me to play chess cause that's what smart kids do i was like this is f*cking boring dad, even if I win.

But civilization is more than a regular strategy game, it's like if age of empires and simcity had a son and instead of an abomination a new superior race arose.

So anyway, the game is about building your civilization from the ground, creating cities and expanding them, managing science, society, food, gold and other resources.
You can play it doing troops and fighting against other nations in a very simple but very smart combat system, or just be a carebear like me and use diplomacy to evade combat while you build up your way into a diplomatic/social/technological victory.

I believe the game is big enough to please hardcore strategy fans, since it has like 4 difficulty levels that are beyond my puny skill, and then there's multiplayer...
But it's also very easy to get into even if you're supposed to don't like the genre.

Give it a try.
