Dumbed down, nothing much new, but still addictive...for one or two games.

User Rating: 7.5 | Sid Meier's Civilization V PC
Civ 5 is disappointing compared to the majesty of Civ 3 or Civ 4 (or alpha centui). Streamlined (dumbed down) for consoles means there is almost no decisions to make. When it's time to wipe out a nearby civilization, it is mostly joyless. You have to lug 3 or 4 siege weapons and a few infantry/mounted units to a city until you slowly wear down its defenses. Repeat until end of game. I would give the game a lower score....but the truth is it's still addicting...for only two games however. Civ 3 et al. I would keep playing on harder difficulties and never got bored....just eventually defeated. So sad. I am uninstalling after just 2 games.

Graphics: eh, nothing special
Music: annoying...not related to age as you will hear music from the 19th century being played in the year 2500 BC.
gameplay: intuitive, nothing wrong here.
value: far below other civ games
a.i.: dumb as always.
