Streamlined and still as complex as ever, the game just feels right. Sure everything is not perfect but it still awesome

User Rating: 10 | Sid Meier's Civilization V PC
The positive.

1. Its CIV same concept in a new package
2. Interface and Graphics looks great and works even better
3. Game Balance is good out of the box, not perfect but good.
4. The removal of sliders works great, finnaly money is money and research is reserach.
5. Many more thought choices and varied stratgies
6. Tactical combat finnaly in CIV 5.
7. Better control of Empire Size
8. No tech trading but still research pacts which are much less powerful
9. Early game much more fun and dynamic
10. Civilization are diffrent and require very diffrent strategies
11. Great People and General abilities are much more visible (They can improve land)
12. Golden Ages works much better with the new happiness
13. The new Social Policies gives you more choices and options. CIV4 I always picked the same.
14. City States are an excellent additon and adds to the strategic choices
15. No Religion, religion was poorly implemented and created the same blocks of nations and crazy diplomacy in CIV4
16. No Health, this concept was a good idea to limit growth but it just wasnt really working in civ 4 and caused a lot of micromanagement that was no fun. New system of nation wide happiness works much better to balance the game.
17. Road spamming and cottage spamming for tech advatage is goen, and good ridance both made the map look bad and forced all games into the same pattern.

I can go on and on.

Things that will be improved by time.

1. Diplomacy
2. Unit cost overview (unit cost gold in support but no way to see how much each unit cost)
3. Rivers need to get a small graphical update

Summary its in my view a close to perfect civilization game out of the box.
