I picked up this game even after reading Gamespot's review. I do trust the opinion of Gamespot. That's why I subscribe. In this case, though, I believe you have to be a fan of the so-called golden eras of wrestling (60s,70s,80s) in order to fully appreciate what the developers were trying to achieve with this title. At my fingertips, I have a veritable who's-who of wrestling legends who are not likely to make an appearance in the latest modern-day wrestling games. Sure, there are occasional graphical glitches, but almost every wrestling game has them. As to career mode being too short, some of us don't have huge spans of time to devote to these. I don't see it as a criticism, more as a matter of personal taste. The only shortcoming I do see with the game is that while the commentary is full of interesting anecdotes, it does get repetitive. Of course, you can always blast some music instead. The game is about wrestling, not commentary, and on the wrestling front, I feel that the developers have done a reputable job of accomplishing their goal of giving us old-timers a game that we can relate to. Good job!
