I have been interested in this game for such a long time. I checked Gamespot EVERYDAY for any sign of an update. I reserved the game and I got it the morning it came out. I returned it the next morning. If any one buys S.L.O.W, they have probably played a lot of the other games in the genre. In comparison, I believe there is none. I will start in praise, then proceed to criticism. In Praise: The graphics and images in my opinnion are only a few steps behind Raw 2. That is really a tremendous accomplishment in my eyes. The slightly over the top style does capture every wrestler well. Presentation of the game is also very good. The retro themed game is candy for any old school wrestling fan. Specialty matches are solid as well, my favorite being the table. CAW is also veery good. Simply impressive IN Criticism: The animinimation of the moves is every hit or miss. Some moves look painfully beautiful, while others resemble a wrestling match with robot wrestlers. The can be reeeeeeeeeeeeeally stiff. The career mode is actually a step back in my opinion. You just wrestle whoever happens to "pick on your girl" most of the time. There is no emphasis on big moves. It is quite easy to simply punch your special meter up. I buy wrestling games to wrestle, not punch. Gameplay.Gameplay. Gameplay. I believe they tried but it just wont cut it. Clipping issues, ghosts attacks(sometimes wrestlers jerk in pain even though no one is near them), and sluggish controls make it a pain more than pleasure. In conlusion I really wanted this game to work. I didn't believe the reviewer. I bought the game. I took it back. This is just an opinion, buy at your own risk! WHOOOOOOOOOOO!
