I love RPG's though one thing I've never had is one that I can play with others. This game solved that problem for me.

I haven't played many of the games in the Shining Tears series but this one has been a great experience for me. I loved both the story line and the interactions between the characters, each and every bit of which was unique to this game. Each of the characters have there own problems which you can help them work through or not, depending on who you have and choose to act with them. This actually effects what happens to the games ending too though the ending isn't all that exciting. The combat system is the most interesting part though.
You can do combat in this game one of two ways. The first is to fight as a one player which is typical for pretty much every single RPG. However, this game has a horrible one player combat system. I would not have played this game if it did not have the 2 player set up. With one player, you use each of the joysticks to move one of the two party members you bring with you onto the battle field. To me, it was rather annoying since you had to figure out which one controlled which then work from there. Plus, the AI for your partner wasn't all that smart. But on 2 player, you could have a friend join you which was a lot more helpful and it was much more fun to play as two people anyways! The interaction between you and your friend's characters is more fun this way too since you get to role play with your friend.
All in all, it's a great game to play and you'll have a lot of fun with it by simply bringing your friends along for the ride!
