User Rating: 9.5 | Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya GG
Shining Force Sword of Hajya, the 3rd chapter in the Shining Force story. (The second chapter of the series is Shining Force Gaiden, and since it's in Japanese, I can't review it) The game takes place 20 years after the first Shining Force game. (So does Gaiden, since this game takes place right after Gaiden) The kingdoms of Gaurdiana and Cypress joined their armies to battle the evil Iom. Can they defeat Iom once and for all?

The game mechanics is the exact same as all of the Shining Force games. Your army have the same classes, and you can still promote them to a higher class. Some characters may even have the same names as the other characters in the previous Shining Force.

The graphics are really good for the Game Gear. All character models, maps, and portraits are very detailed.
It looks awesome when a spell is being casted as well.

The sound, probably the best thing in the game, is amazing, and if i dare say, beautiful. The music goes so well with the map, and mood of the battle. I have even got the music on my Mp3, played by an orchestra. Yes, it's that good.

One of the things that this game lacked is the ability to walk around towns. But since it's a Gamegear, I can understand that it couldn't be capable to do that.

This game is a must have if your a fan of the Shining Force series. It has that charm that I can't describe.
