A surprisingly good tacitcal RPG.

I picked this game up on the off-chance that it would satisfy my tactical RPG needs after I finished Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. (For the second time!) I was taken back by how good the story was, and how deep the characters were. I was sort of dissapointed in the beginning that you couldn't change the character's classes freely, but that was before I learned that there was more than 20 characters with unique classes and strengths. There's a ton of Shining Force lore that gets told through conversations with the characters, which are always interesting. The graphics and sound aren't bad, either. Each character may have a rather repetitive sprite during combat, but that's to be expected. You can change them about halfway through the game via upgrades at chuches that really makes the game come re-alive, if it was growing stale to you before.

Overall, this is a great buy, with lots of story and characters to spare. I would reccomend this to almost anyone with a GBA or DS.
