An installment to one of Sega's renowned series.
The story, first off, is pretty good. It's somewhat similar to the story of old school Final Fantasies, where the goal is to reach crystals to save the world from evil. The main character, Max, is the son of a great warrior, Gaia. Gaia, alongside Max's master, Graham, fought evil before. Gaia was killed by someone who is thought to be his other son, Cain. Max must become a Force and defeat his own brother in order to save the world. Can he do it? I don't know I'm not even done with the game. I'll find out sooner or later.
The gameplay of Shining Force Neo is easily adaptable to. Similar to that of Champions of Norrath and X-Men Legends, playing Shining Force Neo takes the effort of pressing one button for attacking, one for picking up items and talking to people, and one for casting spells. A simple, yet lovely gameplay.
Shining Force Neo is a great game that anyone would like. Although the game is an Action-RPG, to some, it could be considered a fighting game. The game can be challenging at some points, but you can'll get through it, one way or another. I recommend getting this game to anyone. If you can't find a copy, Champions of Norrath or Return to Arms are my substitute recommendations.
