if u like old school rpg and a gamplay with a turn base system,that is the best game ever created in every aspect.
shining force 1? a very good game - maybe a blueprint for this complete and legendary game.
shining force shines all the way down ur bones- far far away from any other shining force game that try to be that game -the number is not important just like final fantasy 7 had a number but u cant find any other "final" game that can b compared to it
story -one of the best ever told -emotion and complexity ,long driven story with many side missions and characters
u play as kid in a village with a dark secret -i dont want to spoil but on the way u travel the world and for a good reason.ur kid will grow and changes to ur party will make u feel u play for years
story similar to shining force 1 - a dark evil arose the land -but the details around it what make the game arose from the other rpg's
graphics? got old by now but dont let this "baby looking faces" to blur u.
the fighting scenes are amazing to a 16 bit old game - almost 20 years old -no other game like it ever challenged its massive maps and unique gameplay of fighting.
now the gameplay is what is all about apart from the adventure that u will not forget for a long time -maybe rest of ur life.
this is strategic turn bast game - u can arm ur fighters,healers, archers etc..
the promotions are a great way to grow on a fellow in the game
u launch ur party into the battlefield and position tham around -choose who will fight and when,who will protect and etc
audio ,soundtrack is one of the best ull ever hear
there are 3 difficulties liner story gameplay but the choises u made can inflict the way ur party grow.
surprises are all around even in the battlefield can an enemy turn to ur side
play again? i bet u do -many secrets are around - weapons ,HIDDEN characters and places.
a must for rpg fans.still rocking by 2011.genesis version is very good or u can wait for the ds fan remake
