This game is shining force neo with new characters. The maps are all completely the same as neo. It adds a few new concepts, but i'm completely serious when i say that most of the maps are the same as the previous game, just recolored. Personally i feel ripped off, this is an expansion at full price. I can't believe sega put this out as a completely new game, you could probably use a strategy guide from neo for the maps and be spot on.
The game looks good, until you realize that the weapons, sheilds, and characters are all the same, different color schemes, but clearly the same. Defending the fort is a nice concept, but all it does is make sure your party levels evenly, and even that isn't a requirement since you can readily switch parties prior to a defense battle. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
