This primitive "game" plays like fossilized Dino-turds. Its distribution is a crime against humanity.

Shamus the video game is absolutely terrible. It seems like a direct port of a horrible game from the early 80s. The graphics have seen only a few improvements including cool looking intros to the levels and the inclusion of color. These miniscule flakes of good do absolutely nothing to redeem the rest of this otherwise putrid pile of excrement of a game. The sound effects are non-existent and the gameplay is you going around in a maze with randomly generated items and enemies where everything kills you instantaneously. You can't even walk into a wall without dying. The minimalist story is that you are a robot created out of the blue along with another evil robot and he runs of and you have to catch him by becoming a detective. However there are no mystery or puzzle elements you just run around mazes trying desperately not to get killed. Nothing makes sense in this game. Your character looks like the general in Custer's revenge (which I would almost certainly rather play than this heap of garbage). If you enjoy punishingly difficult games with lazily created plots and primitive graphics and sound then by all means buy this immediately. To everyone else who has a sense of quality, avoid this game like a ticked off ex-gilfriend!! Please trust me on this one. This is seriously the worst handheld game I ever hope to lay eyes on and realistically the worst game I've ever purchased.
