There was a possibility of good game in today's Sonic forcast, but, unfortunately, it never came to pass. The controls weren't the best, who am I kidding, they were unresponsive at best, and when they did react, they overdid it. Now that that is out of the way, hold your nose, it gets worse, that danged infernal camera. Think Dino Crisis 3, well, not that harsh, but close. Very close. I'd be aiming, or at least attempting to aim, at a nearby bad guy, and then the camera would jump in front of me and I'd get smacked real quick. The sound was okay, a lot of the same sounds from the last few games, minus the new gun sounds, and the music was stuck in the 1980's. Almost as if it were a time warp of sorts, into the years that I am glad I was too small to give a care about. The only shining light of the game is the movie sequences, they were breathtaking. Now if only the game was a movie, then I might tell you to look it up. Is it worth a 50 spot? No, for mine and your sake, NO. Take the route of the rental, or wait til it hits its eventual 19.99.
