A game of epic proportions. This game is one of the best action games on the PS2.

User Rating: 9.5 | Shadow of the Colossus PS2
The moment that towering colossi pulles back its arm to swipe the ant-sized hero on the screen, you know you're in for it. The adreniline that pumps through the vines of your viens when that towering behemoth raises its mountain-sized arm to pummle you into the ground and break your spine like a pair of chopsticks in unmatchable in any other action adventure game. The story is exactly like any other hero-saves-girl game; your girlfriend is put into an eternal rest, so you must use the power of an unknown diety to seek and destroy multiple sacred creatures, who slowly deteriorate and posses your soul. It's a game that requires the player to quickly think in the time of crisis, and those who don't confuse circle for jump and triangle for attack. Only the most skillful and hardcore gamers can complete hard mode with their spins still in one piece. The graphics are amazingly realistic, and the sound track of natural sounds followed by epic boss music can calm you one moment, then push you the next. Though the game is great, there isn't much to it. Once you beat the colossi, the only think to do is play through again. I reccomend this game to any hardcore gamer who enjays a challanging game paved with many surprises and thrills during the duration. Only the most skillful and strong of heros can fell the mountain-sized beasts.
