Worth a rent.

Shadow of the Colossus is a well done game. I respect the risk the developers took in trying something new, and not having any minibattles in between bosses. The graphics are fantastic, and the game puts you in the mindset of being a child and playing fantasy games with stick swords in your backyard. The variety of colossi is nice, however, they start getting a bit dissapointing after a while. I enjoyed the large monsters that needed a good thrashing, however as the game progresses they start to get smaller and faster. I understand that this is to up the difficulty level in bringing them down, but this takes away some of the majesty that the earlier creatures had. The gameplay is a bit sticky, and holding down the R1 button will eventually cause you to lose feeling in your fingers during the course of this game. I would recommend it for some video game escapism as well as for some of the Engrish the god of lights spouts out.
