Sam is back in HD. Just as serious and just as fun
If you have played the original you will be overwhelmed with nostalgia. That being said the game is exactly the same the only visible difference is obviously the graphics. The graphics are crisp and while they in no way can compare to the likes of Crysis or any other cutting edge titles it does the job.
If you played the original and liked it you will like this as well. If you have not played the original the same may not be true. The game is rather simple and some of the players today may not understand it fully. That is the whole point however, as its about plain old fun that new games often lack. Nothing like facing an endless horde of monsters armed with a minigun.
The difficulty is very accommodating on the lowest setting anyone can finish the game and still have fun. The higher difficulties bring more challenge into the game for the experienced gamer.
I am personally looking forward to the remake of Second Encounter as I believe that was the better of the two. But for 20 bucks this is a great title.
