Foreword:
sonic. he is truly one of the greatest characters ever known in gaming alongside mario and luigi of the once rivalled nintendo consoles. this time, you can play him and about a dozen more characters including dr. eggman, nights and alex the kid in this tennis game which could be arguably a cash in of this old household name.
Gameplay:
if you can imagine pong, the game being sped up and spruced up in a major way with sonic on the screen and finally the game being in third person then you have sonic superstars tennis. now imagine pong again and remember how easy it is to play when you first start playing that game. it is that easy to play sonic superstars tennis if you keep your eye on the ball then make sure your character is on the right spot of the court to hit the ball each time. it is almost as if you do not even have to try.
Visuals:
lush green paradise court? brown dusty cantina court? or do you want to play tennis up in space? the visuals in sonic superstars tennis are fine. there is nothing to fault in this game with the visuals. except the trail behind the tennis ball after each hit of the raquet could have been perfected if i wanted to be too critical.
Audio:
as you progress through the mini-games in superstars mode you will unlock music. the music is above average. the tunes you can play in sonic superstars tennis are suited to each court. you can expect the jet set radio court to have a hip hop feel, for instance.
