Single player lacks focus, and I had no idea what it was all about.

I was honestly really disappointed with this game. I thought it would something better than what it was.

First off, you know they don't care about the single player when it's the third option scrolling down on the list. I started playing the single player and had no clue as to what it was all about, or why I was doing the missions I was doing. The only obvious thing is that we were at war with someone. Storytelling didn't seem to be a focus with the developers with this one. I kept getting missions that weren't very varied, and I had no idea why I was doing the things I was doing.

I tried the tank, but didn't like it in the campaign. It handled poorly and wasn't effective at all, so I quickly abandoned it. I tried all the different classes, and they were okay.

I can honestly say I didn't give the game all the attention it may deserve. With no story, and no direction I quickly lost interest. If felt repetitive, I was just doing the same thing over and over. Take an outpost, knock out it's defenses, and then defend. Rinse and repeat.

I didn't try the multiplayer at all. I'm a believer that the single player should come first, and multiplayer should just be an extension of the game, just an extra. With all the multiplayers options in games now, I think a game needs to really shine to grab my attention. Find the multiplayer you like and stick with it. I don't have the desire to play every multiplayer out there, and I had no desire to play this. I just wanted a new singleplayer FPS to play, so I paid $30 for this on XBOX live....what a waste of $30. Especially when I saw it used at EB for $12 the next week.

Anyway I can't recommend this game. If you want a good single player campaign...this isn't it. Repetitive game play, and boring missions kept me from wanting to play this further..I simply deleted it from my harddrive. Goodbye Section 8, and goodbye $30.
