Halo with a jetpack (if you're old enough to recall Halo 'without' a jetpack).

User Rating: 8 | Section 8 X360
A simple FPS with lots of interaction, teamwork, and game objectives. Highly intelligent bots, whether on your team, or not. Terrible--and by that, I mean, just God-awful--vehicles, but otherwise, tons of time-wasting fun online or solo.
Those who played Halo before 'Reach' will completely agree that Section 8 is merely "Halo with a jetpack", as I relate it to anyone interested.
TimeGate, on the other hand--sheesh. Any company that can ruin a good product by its own failure to support that product, should be hailed circumspectly for that ability. Sheer antipathy towards its community, it was more interested in protecting its legal rights than ever providing the interactive online play the game inherently provided, and I'll never really forgive them for that, as I play S8 all the time.
I bought more than 4 copies of this game--2 for me (360 and PC), 1 for a friend, and 1 for my nephew for Christmas (along with 12-mos of Live--don't merely advocate violent Christmas gifts).
Additionally, I bought TG's 2nd release in this franchise, S8: Prejudice--but enjoyed the original S8 much more, for its simplicity. Also bought the single map-pack that came out for S8, but notably have to uninstall it whenever I want to host games of randomly chosen maps, because it'll kick those who didn't buy the darn pack (and settings don't allow you to just host games without the added pack, another dumb example of TG's apathetic attitude).
TimeGate went bankrupt last week, but had bankrupted this game (leeching off the remains of their franchised games like S8) for nearly two, long, frustrating years (to us gamers).
They treated their fans like dogs, and now, they can't even afford to pay for pizza delivery (see funny GameSpot article on their recent Chapter 11 filing!).
Perceptive fans saw the bankruptcy coming a mile away--the latest 'sign' being that 360 servers (that had been sold to GameSpot by TG over a year ago) finally went down for the last time two weeks before the announcement, and now all the gaming that's left is being hosted by dedicated online 360 gamers.
Also note that the PC version of S8 could never host games that included 360 players, which is something I think all games should do.
They deserve a total lack of recognition for putting Section 8 into Chapter 11, haha, and I desperately hope another, larger, more established, competent, and just plain 'good' company takes this franchise and does something larger and better with it.
There was so much potential with this game, IF the company that made it would've just listened to their community--the overall gameplay is still quite fun, and somewhat of a phenomenon, even if most aspects of it were robbed outright from Halo, I think.
