A great game for any WWII buff or aviation fan!

This game got me hooked right from the start, from the awesome "Battlehawks" theme music, to the exciting missions, and the awesome choice of selectable aircraft, from classics like the P-38 Lightning, the beautiful Spitfire Mk.V, and the mighty P-51 Mustang, on up to the revolutionary German jet, the Me-262. The game puts you in the role of an American fighter pilot named James Chase, who joins the RAF's "BattleHawks" squadron after taking down an Ace nazi pilot named Krieger in the Battle of Dunkirk. As the game goes on, you can get upgrades for your planes' performance (engine, airframe, armor, weapons capacity), by completing objectives and winning challenge missions. The staff behind the game went to great lengths to make the game look and sound as real as possible, even recording the actual sounds produced by the engines of the various aircraft, the weapons firing, and everything else needed to make you feel as if you were really in the thick of the action. In short, if you like flight sims, and you're into WWII aviation history, this game's right up your alley!
