For me as a gamer RPG's always have something to offer, however for once Im going to have to turn my back on this one.

For me as a gamer, RPG's always have something to offer. Whether its an interesting story, 200+ hours of gameplay, manic hack and slash battles, the ability to customise your character so the game is never quite the same or even extend it further and take it online for co-op play. This game however struggles in all aspects and doesn't really offer anything new to the table.

Visuals:
+Spells/Skills CAN (not always) look quite impressive, although once you have been through the game abit higher level spells seem to look like their earlier counterparts.
-3D characters have no shading, because of the 2D prerendered backgrounds the 3D characters cant be rendered with shadows and dynamic lighting, even for November 2004 when released the days of these types of games had ended. The end effect is unless you fill your screen with effects the charactrers never look in place on occasions they will even be seperated from the gackground by a thin black line.

Sound
+I tried but its too hard: The Sound/Mucis/NPC are all flat and lifeless at the best of times, all I can say is just plug in an ipod and brave the text.
-...Dont get me started.

Gameplay
+3D effects help make higher levels look "powerful" and battles can look good with these, monsters can be challenging at times but like all RPG's this is easily sorted by going back and leveling up (not so enjoyable in this game however)
-Simple point and click RPG, nothing really new and for a game with so many floors this really doesn't help it.

Overall
I have seen this game being sold in GAME for £4.99 and even for that price all i would say is save another £5 and treat yourself to Neverwinter Nights. I hate giving RPG's low ratings as whether or not we realise it so much work does go into these things whether they are crap or not, unfortunally Object have done such a bad job Im sure there is something good in this game but I cant find it.
