This game is absurdly fun, especially with a couple homies.

Story: Saturday Night Slam Masters is a professional wrestling game with fictional characters. There is somewhere around 10 characters including Haggar, Stinger, Titan, Biff, Jumbo, and Scorp.

Gameplay: It IS kind of like Street Fighter in tights!! (But it's way better than a 6.5 for sure.) You can play against the computer, but it is so much more fun if you do multi-player. This game features both single matches and tag team, where you can be on the same team or against each other if you prefer. The main buttons are simply attack, jump, and pin. Each character has certain strengths and weaknesses, including individualized specialty moves. My strategy is to drain the opponents entire life bar before you try to pin them. If they have some life left in the tank they can usually wiggle out of the pin by repeatedly pressing the buttons as rapidly as possible. You can get out of the ring and brawl it out with objects and tables. There's even a way to throw objects into the ring to use inside. Another aspect of the game is the ability to run, bounce off the ropes, throw the opponent off the ropes, and also climb up to the top turnbuckle. Try climbing up top, spitting out glittering dust everywhere, and then sailing across the entire ring to absolutely level the opposing character.

Graphics: Pretty solid. It definitely looks similar to the Street Fighter character design. Nice use of colors, ring side lighting effects, and fireworks, etc. It's easy to see which guy is which, and what they're all doing, even when total chaos is taking place. Sprites are very good size, and very solid design, easy to distinguish from one another.

Audio: Very well done aspect of the game. Adds to the overall appeal of this cart witout a doubt. Each match occurs in a different city from around the world, each with it's own unique music. So there's quite a diverse array of music to keep you satisfied and never too repetitive. The sound effects are adequate as well.

Pros: Solid graphics, excellent gameplay, diverse character design, well thought battle system, ability to fight outside the ring and climb up the ropes, and very cool character intros as both sides enter the ring. Multiplayer tag team matches are an absolute riot. Difficulty level is easy to taylor to your skill level because there's a 1-10 meter setting.

Cons: Replay value may suffer a bit. Also, if you don't have buddies over the game is not nearly as fun by yourself.

Overall: You don't even have to like wrestling to enjoy Saturday Night Slam Masters. It's a very fun game and it's simple to learn. If you like Street Fighter you will love this game.
