This game was way over-hyped. Volition spent millions on an ad campaign to promote this game. In all honesty I'm quite disappointed.

The game play itself is a lot of fun. They really weren't aiming for real, which I guess is what made this game fun.

The story was a bit better than previous Saints Row games, some missions involve doing absolutely nothing other than watching a cut scene. I like how they give you a choice of what to do in a few of the missions... does it change the story a bit? I don't know, I'm not going to replay those missions because they were really hard, not going to lie.

The graphics are quite "cartoony", nothing looks real in the game... but everything has a lot of detail to it.
One thing that I was really disappointed about was the lights on cop cars, ambulances, etc. In previous SR games, they made really nice light bars and grille lights that made it look real and just more modern. What they did in SR3 is what you would expect from a game made 5 years ago, maybe even more because they had really nice looking lights in the original SR that was released in 2006.

The game has a lot of glitches and constantly freezes. If you use the horn, sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it does. If you drive a car... no matter how fast you're going, it always sounds like you're going really fast, but you're actually just doing like 20 mph? When you do get to full speed, you can hear the sound file repeating itself instead of just being a steady loud roar.
If you put the handbrake on, it also seems to use the accelerator. The handbrake will never allow you to stop, it'll make you do a burnout while rolling away.
You can't crash a plane? I tried last night and it wouldn't work. I had 5 stars and I just wanted to kill myself but I couldn't. I drove the military jet at full speed into the side of a building and all that happened was I slowly fell to the ground... I had more than enough time to recover.

I miss a lot of the side missions. There are quite a few activities, most of them are familiar from the old games. But no taxi, ambulance, tow truck, etc. Disappointing.
