Don't believe the other reviews ......this game is no GTA4 ........not even close
Unlike the amazing GTA 4 this game has nothing more than cars to offer the player ........whereas GTA 4 has boats and helicopters.
The storyline is bland ..........whereas GTA 4 is funny, clever and unpredictable
Saints Row constantly forces you to do repetitive boring tasks to gain enough Respect to do the story missions. This is something that GTA 4 doesn't do and I can see why ..........its really really Boring and makes you not want to play the game b/c you know you will be spending most of your time doing the same 6 missions over and over and over again.
Even the story missions do not have the intricacies or variety of GTA, they are mostly a run and gun with the point being killing the all the bad guys.
The BIGGEST problem Saints Row has is the BUGS ...........especially when you run the more difficult missions. I have at least 3 times gotten a point in the mission where the AI is confused and is just stuck and you can't do anything except kill yourself and start all over again. It sucks!
And like many of the other reviews have mentioned when you play the game it just feels like something is missing ...........it has all these different shop fronts but none of them really do anything .....also the world at times just doesn't feel like its full of enough life and detail ..............aside from a few cars and pedestrians.
At the end of the day whereas GTA really captures the organised crime world and really offers some super fun missions in a way Saints Row fails to do
Anyone who gives this game more than a 7-8 simply doesn't know good games ...........its as simple as that
