Unjustified and indelicate rating.

User Rating: 8 | Ryse: Son of Rome (Day One Edition) XONE

I believe that this game is inappropriately rated due to a biased perspective on launch title games. With an obvious overuse of facial graphic design and an overplayed, generic storyline it would be understandable that someone glancing over the campaign would brush this game off as repetitious and dull, but that would insult the hidden beauties of this game. The fact of the matter is the game does exactly what it sets out to do and does it well. It gives a fluid and entertaining combat system that can seem repetitious but makes up for the fashion and way each blow is delivered. The character acting is well done if you take into consideration that any roman game is going to inherently be cheesy due to the time era's use of pronunciation and sentence structure. The gameplay is addicting and deliberate and even though the multiplayer is lacking performance and longevity take this into perspective: the only console games to create a successful and perpetual online gaming experience is realistically COD and Halo so to incorporate its multiplayer mode as a major part in its overall rating is unfair to say the least. Overall this game was enjoyable and visually stunning but sadly, due to the nearly impossible expectations of launch title games and the hype it received pre-release, this game is inaccurately and indelicately rated. In my personal opinion, I received a lot of joy from playing the game and i would give it a 7 or 8. Why? From an unbiased perspective, It was a good hack and slash game and left me satisfied and more over.
