First off, I have not been into a RTS this much since Company of Heroes. R.U.S.E. may be one of the best RTS's I have ever played. It hits a sweet spot that very few RTS games hit, and oddly enough, it has this "board gaming charm" to it that just shines through.

Something else worth mentioning is the company EUGEN that made R.U.S.E. This game was suppose to come out back in June. Instead, they did a open beta on Steam, to get gamers feedback. Then reworked the game, and re-released yet another open beta to show all of the improvements from what feedback they got. This fact alone to me, shows a incredible company that cares about there product, and wanted to deliver a 5 star game. So many companies today just get the game out the door to make the quick $$$ not giving a crap about quality. KUDOS to Eugen.

The gameplay as I said, is really summed up in my title. You can zoom the camera all the way in to see all the detail, or pull all the way back and see the war table where the battle is taking place. This game is hard to describe, the best way to experience it is try the demo on Steam.

I'll say this in closing, I love and bought Starcraft 2 first day back on July 27th. But I clearly remember wishing R.U.S.E. was out on that day instead. Now that I have both, I will say there both 5 star games, but R.U.S.E.'s 5 stars shine just a little brighter.
