Rugby League Live 4

I'm from a Rugby League town, and my brother is a massive fan. So when I saw this on PSN cheap, I thought "Oh go on then". Now some of you may not have heard about Rugby Leauge, or just don't care about it. The thing is though, Rugby Union (the one typically shown on TV) is near enough a totally different sport, so this game should be treated as such. I am not going to go into which type of Rugby is better as I do not have the patients to argue for and agaist either.

Now to the game. Compaired to Fifa, Rugby League has hardily any money. Therefore devoloping a game system, with more rules than football, is difficult. This is where I have to tip my hat off to the developers.

The controls are snappy and tight. My only complaint would be the super speed you need to position where you want the ball going when kicking after the 5th tackle. It is something you get use to over time and is fairly easy to get used to when playing low division teams (unless it is the new team Torronto Wolfpack, as they have an almost Super League team, and I hope they make it into Super League for the 2019 season).

There are tonnes of stuff to customise. You have the basic, teams and player customisation, you have a stadium builder which I thought was a nice touch. There was one thing I didn't see coming though. Make your own referee. As I don't play Fifa games I can't draw a comparison saying if this is something new or not, however I thought it was an odd but great idea.

The online play is good, and it is a shame that this isn't a widely loved game, as an 8 vs 8 would be brilliant to play.

If you saw this at a reduced price, I'd say give it a go. I can't recomend this to everyone, as this would be for people who live on the "M62 corridor" or down under. However if you are Canadian or American, I'd say give it a go, as Torronto are a growing team, and there is meant to be an American team starting in 2020 and this would give you a head start on the rules (I think the team is Boston, but could be corrected on that).
