I really thought that this would see the improvement of a number of things in the first game like:
- Not being able to dive to score a try from a few metres out
- Ridiculous passing
- Running out and not being able to do anything about it
- Running over the dead ball line or sideline instead of putting the ball down to score in the tackle
- No set plays
And a host of other things. But instead we got:
- A quick line out system that you rarely if ever use
- Players out of position everywhere
- uncommitting players from the ruck (maybe the only good new feature)
- Your own AI terrible,and
- opposition AI on higher difficulty settings being superhuman,and
- all of the bad things above from the first game
If you played a decent team on pro in the first game - you could just beat them or lose narrowly, now on hard (less then pro) good teams are almost impossible to beat unless you get lucky.
Just very, very disappointing.
