RPG Maker 2 is a great game for those jr. game designers, but very hard, you actually gotta read the instruction manual.

RPG Maker 2 is a really fun game, it's kind of like playing the role of the "creator of worlds", you get to rise oceans, form mountains, and so forth. The game itself is great for those little game designers in all of us, although the game is very difficult at some (or most) parts of the game. Most games in the world don't necessarily need the gamer to read the instruction manual to know how to play, but RPG Maker 2 needs you to read the manual a couple times, and more during the actual gameplay, the manual itself is rather extensive. Sadly, most people would probably put the game down after a couple hours because the game can get kind of boring towards the beginning because the player is not familiar with these sort of games. If you ask me about the series, I don't know much about the first RPG Maker, but I do know a decent bit about the third one. It's not as good as the second, RPG Maker 3 doesn't allow as much customization as RPG Maker 2, but I am giving a review on RPG Maker 2, so let's not get carried away. I stuck to the game, although I never was able to finish a flawless game. The map, I thought, was too small for me to make an extensive and vast gaming environment (I intend to be a fictional writer when I get older, so vast settings are important to me). In the end, effort and perseverance will allow the gamer to prosper, and make a truly accomplished and successful game.
