Veni Vidi Vi... I'm going to play some more Rome: Total War

Never before have i known a game to take over my life so completely and totally. It's hard to voice how attached i am to this game.

To sum up the 'plot', as it were, you begin campaign mode as one of three prominent Roman families, the Brutii, Julii or Scipii. From then on, it's up to you to subdue the various opposing factions and eventually overthrow the sebate and claim Rome for yourself.

Alliances will be made and broken, spies will be unleashed and assassination will become a common practice and you vie for power on almost every possible front. It truly is a near impossible task to explain how addictive and plain fun this game is as you are immersed in a world over 2000 years old, you could be fighting the Gauls up in the northern regions of the map, when all of a sudden, the Greeks start an offensive on your eastern border. Far from being frustrating, you'll find it exhilarating and will welcome all foes as you sweep them aside.

The campaign map is where you'll spend most of your time, organising, building and recruiting but when that view switches to the battle screen, you'll love it every bit as much. Again, you can't really vocalise the feeling of watching your largest army fight a crucial battle against the foes you have fought for countless years, close up and in remarkable detail.

To be honest, there may be flaws but i love this game so much i don't even care about them. Buy it, it's less than £20 and that, in my eyes, is the bargain of the century.
