A fun shooter.

User Rating: 9 | Rolling Thunder NES
Rolling Thunder is a run & gun style 2-dimensional side scrolling shooter. It began as an arcade game, and was ported to the NES, Commodore 64 and other home computers. The game is set in the 60's, and you play an international secret agent on a mission to save his abducted "damsell in distress" partner, Leila. People who have played this game will remember it by the enemies, who wear hoods of varying colors, the colors indicating their difficulty. You get through masses of enemies by shooting them with your handgun. The game forces you to use some strategy and tactics by giving you only a limited amount of ammo. Once you're out, since evading enemies isn't an option, you will be left defenseless. What stands out most with this game is the graphics. Although this game was released on 8-bit systems, the graphics rival those of the next generation 16-bit consoles.
