Building an amusement park is fun. You can create your roller coaster and all, but the scenarios are quite repetitive.
The title says it, it's ''Roller Coaster'', so you're going to spend a lot of time building those different huge rides, because they're the main attraction and they deliver the most excitement rating. It might take a while to get used to design those. At first, I didn't get it at all how to build these. Then I started one and get it done. 5 minutes later, I check it back... no people are going in because it is too intense! Then I have to look carefully at which part seem too intense for the customer and modify it. That was my major problem playing ''Roller Coaster''.
Of course, anyone can decide to go with the ''normal'' ride that are easier to install, but their fun rating is not that much and won't draw as much customers as the roller coasters.
Fortunately, all the rides are diversified, There is different type of roller coaster that possess different parts and ways to build them. So I spend a lot of time building them knowing how they work, which was fun.
The worst part about this game, it's its scenarios. There is more than 20 levels, but most of their goals are similar, build a great park and attract customers. It's ok, that's the main idea behind this game. It's just after 3 hours (or 3 years in the game), I had achieved the goal, but I still had place to put few more rides. Of course, I could continue building it, the game didn't bring me to the main menu or the other scenario, but I rather go on to the next level to discover what's new.
You can modify the land, while playing it, but you cannot design one where you'll start from scratch. Only when you've been trough each level, the game is giving you a new one, the ''Mega Park'' where you can build what you want just for fun. Still the land is already there, so if you want to modify it, it's going to cost you a lot.
A good game though!
