Rocky on Ps2 is as great as the GameCube port, a knockout!

User Rating: 10 | Rocky PS2

The Good:

Ps2 version's graphics are slightly more detailed than the GameCube version. Feels just like the source material it's based on. Realistic visuals and details. Soundtrack is as epic as the films.

The Bad:

Nothing at all.

Game play:

Rocky is a small-time boxer who wants to become part of the boxing world. That luck soon comes as Apollo Creed picks him to compete in the 1976 Philadelphia boxing arena. As soon as Rocky survived the brutal 15 rounds against Apollo, Creed demands a rematch after seemingly being humiliated by his fans. Rocky declines at first, but soon accepts the rematch. Rocky beats Apollo, becoming champion of the Philadelphia boxing arena. Soon, Rocky faces new and more highly skilled opponents..

Graphics:

The PlayStation 2 version of the game has slightly more texture detail than it's GameCube counterpart and looks as great. Characters are fantastic and well-done. Environments are excellent and great. Facial damage and punching visuals is awesome and greatly detailed.

Controls:

Left analog joystick for moving. X and O for low-punches. Square and Triangle for high-punches. There's also some combos to learn as well.

Music and Sound:

Music score is as epic and great as the films. Sound effects are a plus too.

Lasting Appeal:

Just as fantastic as the GameCube port, and a slightly better graphical port at that. 10 out of 10.
