Rocket League's concept is simple yet unique. It combines driving mechanics with a physics based football game, and the execution is flawless. This game is a total blast to play and it's addictive. And for the 20 bucks tag, it's really worth the money and it's the perfect value for this game.
The gameplay is very simple and it's totally physics based. It's basically a driving game that takes place in a stadium, where you can kick a ball in variety of ways.The stadiums that are presented there are really well designed and fun to drive in. You can either play 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, or the intense 4vs4, and all of them are pretty fun. Scoring a goal is so satisfying and rewarding, but there's also defense going on, so you can also save the ball from the opponent and clear ball. And by doing all of these offensive and defensive actions you earn points, and you gain xp. After almost every match you will win a new car or some car customization option. It's the variety of ways that you can do these actions that makes this game so damn special, because it's always satisfying. Also, if you don't want to play online, you can play with bots that are mostly decent, but they can be really stupid at times. However it would be interesting to add more modes to the game, to take some risks and experiment with the game's main mode. And also, why do all the matches need to be 5 minutes long? IMO it would be pretty neat to edit the time limit of the matches.
There is car customization which is really good and the options that it offers you can make your car look creative as hell. But I have a really minor gripe. There needs to be an option immediately after I finish a match to open the garage so I can change the car or apply some costumization, because I really don't want to quit the server first, and then do that. However, that's minor so yeah.
This game looks good and it has a decent, if not a little bit repetitive soundtrack. You don't need a juggernaut PC to play this game, as it runs decently on budget PCs.
Rocket League is a freaking awesome game that everyone should play.
